Having experienced back problems himself for the last 25 years, Jaap  specialises in people with back and back related ailments. He shares the view of  Dr. John E. Sarno, who believes the reason for these complaints is often the suppression of emotions. The pain is real, but it is not an expression of, say,  anger, grief or inferiority feelings, but rather it is a distraction away from them. At the moment a feeling is going to pop up, you experience a pain, so you are unaware of the accompanying emotion. This American professor and  rehabilitation doctor’s solution is to let yourself become aware of the emotions you suppress and not to pay attention to the pain you are feeling.

Start moving and feel!
Many people do not know what it is they are feeling, or feel too many things all at once. They have lost contact with their inner self. Motion and Emotion are closely related. One shrinks from fear and leaps for joy. When you move, the contact with your feelings is restored. Dance in itself has a transforming power, so you might experience that underneath anger lies power, that grief makes compassion possible and that alertness is an aspect of fear.

Results
All of your physical, emotional and creative faculties are involved in Dance Coaching. In a session we alternate between dance and reflection. Music is a source of inspiration.Barriers come down, because body and mind are flowing. You feel the power within and take the space you need. As a result you become  a more balanced person, with less stress, less back pain and more energy!

Life Coaching

Workshops Dance Coaching

Dance Coaching origins are in creative dance, a form of contemporary dance, which is easily accessible to all people with differing lifestyles. It is not about technique or copying steps, but about exploration and improvisation. Participants discover  – be they small or big, fat or thin, stiff or supple, old or young -  how they express images, thought, feelings, stories or music through the use and the possibilities of their bodies. Dance as a creative process. Dance Coaching focusses on personal experience and development. Depending on the participants the goals are: fun, physical development, social skills, physical-mental awareness, emotional or spiritual growth; generally it is a combination of all these.



A workshop – which can vary from 2 hours to a week – generally has a subject. Mobile has long-standing experience in the theme of the 4 elements (earth, water, fire and air), the 5 senses and the 7 chakras. And because one can express everything in dance, the themes of workshops are endless.
